Elbridge Burbank
This man was the finest painter of metals at the time he painted. His father, Abner Burbank with no lessons, painted lifelike pictures of corn, vegetables, etcetera. Elbridge Burbank was commissioned by the government to paint the portraits of all male Indians on the western reservations. All the famous Indian portraits are his.
