1889/08/28 We arrived in Washington D.C. went sight seeing stopped at St. James Hotel saw all of the government buildings went to the top of Washington's monument 500 feet
1889/08/29 We left Washington D.C. 8 A.M. on fast train for New York. Arrived in N.Y. 1:45 P.M. stopped at Miller's Hotel
1889/08/30 Called on Nicholas Carter out of town also Weidner Called on Mrs.. Sampson and two daughters We all slept on board the Fulda night before sailing
